Discovering your favourite Paris Places

I‘ve simply got to tell you about some of my favourite places in Paris. You honestly haven’t lived until you’ve been to them.

The first is a little piece of heaven at a corner shop and it’s called “Delmontel” (39, Rue Martyrs, 75009 Paris). They make the most delicious desserts; tarts and cakes of all kinds covered in cream, chocolate biscuits and of course, the French treat “macaroons”.

I went there on a quiet Thursday afternoon with some friends, only to be astounded by the enormous queue outside - my jaw hit the floor. Was this place really THAT good? Of course, as I later found out, it really was.

You can tell just by looking through the shop window that everything made here is of the highest quality. This was confirmed to me later when I found out that the shop won the 2007 first prize for the Best Baguette in Paris, adding to its fame.

Needless to say, we went back to our apartments in paris absolutely stuffed with food and our pockets stuffed with goodies to eat back in the comfort of our own homes.

It was then when I started thinking about a place I had visited six months or so before. This place was called Ladurée and is Paris’s most famous macaroon maker. Elegant and chic in every way, I’d often seen posh women enjoy an afternoon in the Ladurée Royale, sipping coffee and nibbling away at their macaroons.

I’d often wished that I too could one day do the same. That day came… I left my apartments paris and dashed off to Ladurée on my own, I don’t know what came over me! I then spent the entire afternoon like a posh lady.

It is popular with locals and tourists alike, but I have to warn you, you might simply want to enjoy a coffee and a cake, but it’s bound to turn into two, three or four!

How to Buy The Right Golf Cart Bag

Is it time to replace your golf cart bag? Depending how much you play, the golf cart bag is a very important piece of golf equipment.

The reasons are simple. Obviously, it is very important because it assists you with the storage and transportation of your golf clubs as well as other golf equipment. For more information refer to sporting events

With the size of a golf cart bag, you can easily carry your clubs, tees, markers as well as other things you will need during your round of golf. The bag itself does not necessarily have a direct correlation to your score; however, it can allow you to carry items that could make your round of golf more comfortable and more enjoyable for you.

The basic golf bag comes in three sizes. The first is a staff golf bag or tour golf bag. Obviously, this name comes from the professionals that are on staff with a certain company to promote the company’s products.

The second is the golf cart bag. These bags are typically not quite as large as a staff or tour bag and are meant to be placed on the rear of a golf cart. These golf bags are not meant to be carried by the average player during their round of golf.

A golf stand carry bag can be used on the back of a golf cart as well as carried by the player during the round. These bags are typically about 4 pounds in weight prior to adding your golf equipment.

Depending on the golf you usually play, any one of these styles can suit your needs. Go to golf events for more information.

In determining the kind of golf bag will best suit you and the type of golf that you play, you need to first decide if you walk or ride most of your rounds of golf. If you walk the majority of your rounds, you will need a golf stand carry bag. You may choose to also have a cart golf bag for trips or special occasions. In addition, you will need to think about your typical golf club and how your golf clubs are normally transported about the club.

Do you have to personally carry them quite a bit or is the staff able to assist you with your bag? I think that you get the drift, the more that you carry your own clubs the more you need a golf stand carry bag.

The golf stand carry bag is a smaller bag designed for those who are prone to walk the golf course or have to transport their own clubs around the club. These lightweight golf bags are designed for the players’ comfort as they are carried by the player. Although these bags are light weight they can hold a full set of golf clubs (14), golf balls, range finder GPS unit, tees, umbrella as well as a rain suit. These bags typically have room for a pair of golf shoes for when you travel.

The staff/tour bag is the largest selection of golf bags which is available, they are much larger than the travel/carry bag or the cart golf bag. You see the professional golfers on TV use these golf bags. However, they do not personally carry them due to their weight. They travel with caddies to help them instead. The amount of equipment that these golfers can carry is as much as they would like and an average PGA Tour Bag is 40-45 lbs with all the equipment in it. The price for the staff tour bags is substantially higher than that of the cart golf bag or the travel/carry bag.

The golf cart bag is a smaller version of the tour bag. Again, these bags are designed to ride on the back of a golf cart. The pockets are typically designed for easy access as the bag sits on a golf cart.

Determine your golfing habits and with this information make an informed decision on which bag would best suit you and allow you to enjoy the great game of golf. Visit sports events for more information.

Some Reasons for Grooming Your Pet

Good grooming practices are essential for maintaining health and happiness for you and your dog. Healthy skin, hair, nails and teeth are what define a well-groomed dog.

Dog-grooming is the practice of caring for the appearance of a canine for personal or showing purposes. Dog-grooming rituals include washing, hair clipping and cutting, nail clipping, powdering, hair styling and teeth cleaning.

Grooming is important for your pet and is aesthetically pleasing to owners. It helps cut down on shedding and smelling, but will also lead to healthy skin, hair, nails and teeth for your dog.

Grooming is also a great way to cut down on allergies and infections for both pets and their owners. Grooming is sometimes difficult. Cleaning, brushing and clipping your dog while also trying to keep them calm can be a challenge for any dog owner.

However, sometimes a good set of grooming tools can make the job much easier. Look into a good dog brush that thoroughly brushes as well as trims out excess hair. This will help you get two tasks done at once.

If you don’t feel up to Grooming your pets yourself, there are hundreds of dog groomers who would love to pamper your pooch for an afternoon.

But it’s better to do and do your own pet grooming. This is a great way to bond with your pet as well, and if they like the whole grooming thing then they’ll be your slave every time you even bring up mention of the words pet grooming.

It is a special bonding time between you and your dog. You can also use this time to check your dog’s health. Look carefully for signs of fleas, ticks, skin irritations, lumps or painful spots. Check your dog’s eyes, ears and teeth regularly. Consult your veterinarian if you find anything unusual or concerning.

It’s important to get him used to it from an early age. Many dogs learn to see their routine brushing as an alternate petting, another source of affection and attention. Good quality Dog brushes and comb will help you with your dog’s coat, but also remember that your dog’s eyes, ears, and nails require attention as well.

The main reasons for daily grooming include:
• Enhanced health of the skin and coat
• Reduces the chance of various health problems such as thrush, scratches, and other skin problems
• Make the dog hygienic
• Allows the groomer to check the dog’s health, such as looking for cuts, heat, swelling, lameness, or a change in temperament (such as depression) which could indicate the dog is sick
• And the important reason is it helps to form a relationship between dog and owner.

Night View of Albert Dock and the "Three Graces," Liverpool, United Kingdom
Night View of Albert Dock and the Three Graces, Liverpool — Buy at AllPosters.com

Liverpool, once the second city of the British Empire, has since World War II been in decline. In recent years there has been a dramatic increase in investment with the centre of the city witnessing regeneration.

In 2008 Liverpool was the European Capital of Culture; throughout the year there were countless events ranging from world class music concerts to unique art exhibitions.

Now the year has passed, what is there to draw visitors to this wonderful city? Well there are definitely a number of new hotels in Liverpool to satisfy all tastes. In the text below I introduce 3 visitor attractions in Liverpool.

Liverpool Anglican Cathedral

Liverpool is renowned for having two cathedrals: the Roman Catholic Metropolitan Cathedral and the Liverpool Anglican Cathedral. When John Charles Rye was nominated Bishop of Liverpool in 1880, ironically there was no cathedral in Liverpool as that time. Eventually, after a lot of deliberation, the powers that be decided that a cathedral was required.

In 1902, they chose to hold an open competition for the design of the cathedral. The winning proposal was chosen in 1903, and surprisingly, was a proposal by student Giles Gilbert Scott, who had no preceding building experience. Another architect, George F. Bodley, was assigned to work with Scott, and oversee all designs and construction works.

King Edward VII laid the foundation stone in 1904, and in 1910, the first part of the cathedral, the Lady Chapel, was finished.

Albert Dock

Liverpool’s Albert Dock was named after Prince Albert of Saxe-Coburg, who opened the docks in 1846. The docks were very busy over the years, but regretably they eventually were forced to close to shipping in 1972. For many years the docks lay derelict and quiet, until the 1980’s when they were redeveloped with funding from the Merseyside Development Corporation.

The dock consisted of five warehouse buildings, all of which are Grade I listed, making the Albert Dock complex the largest set of Grade I listed building in the United Kingdom. The docks are now home to a variety of visitor attractions, including the Tate Liverpool and the Merseyside Maritime Museum.

Tate Liverpool

Standing on the Liverpool waterfront, as part of the Albert Dock complex, is Tate Liverpool. Since opening in 1988, the Tate, for a short time, was the largest gallery of contemporary and modern art in the United Kingdom, besides London.

The Tate is an extremely popular visitor attraction in Liverpool, catering for more than 600,000 visitors through its doors each 12 months.

The gallery is in one of the 5 converted warehouses originally converted by James Stirling. However, the building had to undergo further refurbishment in 1988 to create more gallery space. In 2007 the foyer was redesigned, giving the gallery a more modern appearance and better proportions in the reception area.

Besides the 3 visitor attractions discussed above Liverpool has a great many more. Not only this there are a great many more not too far away, perfect for a day visit. If you are planning to spend time in Liverpool you may wish to take a look at our web site which has a comprehensive list of Liverpool hotels as well as a selection of unserviced and services apartments in Liverpool.

How Much Should A Puppy Be Fed

Puppies require continual nutritional support in order to maintain a healthy growing body. To keep up with their needs they should have food available to them throughout the day.

There are three popular methods for feeding your new puppy.

Mealtime Feeding

Portion-Control Feeding

Free Feeding

Mealtime Feeding - This methods is idea for young puppies who are being housetrained. This technique usually involves mixing solid food and canned food. Your puppy gets her meals at different times throughout the day. Most dog owners prefer to feed their puppies three meals a day, but there are some people who opt for four meals a day.

It doesn’t really matter if you are feeding your puppy three or four meals a day. The key is to remember to divide their food in equal portions across your chosen number of feedings. It is also more convenient if you schedule the feedings so you do not have to wake up during the night to feed your hungry puppy.

If you choose to feed her three times per day then every eight hours is a good schedule. If you decide on four meals a day then feed her every six hours instead. Keep in mind, however, that you should not reduce your puppy to two meals per day until she is at least five or six months old.

So what is the proper amount of food to feed a puppy?

Portion-Control Feeding - This is probably the most common method of feeding your puppy used today. This is especially helpful for those people who need to work during the day, leaving their puppy home alone.

In this method, you calculate how much food your puppy needs depending on her age, and type of breed. This amount of food is left in her bowl at the same time everyday, usually in the morning before you go to work. Remember to adjust the amount of food you are giving your puppy as she gets older.

By using this method your puppy will be able to nibble on food throughout the day as she gets hungry. Most puppies will only eat a small amount of food at a time. Some puppies will empty their bowls all at one time. However, studies have shown that puppies raised using this feeding method are less likely to overeat when they mature into adult dogs.

If you are having trouble house training your puppy then this method will probably not work for you and is best avoided.

Free Feeding - In this method you make sure that there is always food available in your puppy’s bowl. She is then allowed to nibble on it throughout the day whenever she likes.

This is of course the easiest method to follow since you just make sure you keep filling her bowl. However, it is the method least recommended by vets and breeders. Using this method to feed your puppy makes it harder to housebreak her since you are never really sure when she eats. You also do not have a good idea of how much she is actually eating on a daily basis.
